As of today I can officially announce that I will be doing the next cover and all art design for the forthcoming new album by the amazing rock band The Sword. The album due to be released sometime this fall is entitled Apocryphon. I can’t tell you enough how excited I am to be doing this, I’ve been an admirer of their music since the first album. “THE SWORD TO COMMENCE RECORDING FOURTH ALBUM JUNE 25TH
J ROBBINS TO PRODUCE
After their appearance at Metallica’s Orion Music & More Festival on June 23rd in Atlantic City, NJ, The Sword will begin recording their fourth album and first for their new label partners Razor & Tie. The album, to be entitled Apocryphon, will be produced and engineered by J. Robbins (Clutch, Jawbox) and recorded at Magpie Cage Studios. Apocryphon is scheduled for an early fall release.
The album will feature cover art by famed comic book artist J.H. Williams III (Batwoman, Promethea).
The Sword will commence a worldwide tour in support of Apocryphon in October.”

Hell yeah! this is huge…2 great tastes that’ll taste great together! Congrats, and the same to The Sword who must be thrilled. Can’t wait to see the work!

Thank you. I’m super excited to do this. And Hopefully people like what I do with it. I’m going to be toying with some different techniques and types of imagery than what is to be expected.
Well Sword Fan, what a lovely sentiment you’ve said there. The samples of your own efforts on your site are nice.

I hope people will like it, its going to be quite different from their previous covers. And somewhat unexpected imagery from what I’m known for as well.
I like The Sword and I love your art. Cannot wait for the first samples from both of you.

I won’t be able to show any work in progress until maybe after the release date. A storyboard of it would be awesome though.
