Out Now!
Wednesday March 20th 2013, 12:29 pmBatwoman 18 has hit the shelves. We hope you enjoy it. We begin a new arc where we will be defining the idea of Family for Kate more. Not only with her own, but also what can be expected from the supposed “Bat-Family”. Below is the cover by Trevor McCarthy. I return to covers with issue 20.

There is an interview with Trevor over at Newsarama : http://www.newsarama.com/comics/Trevor-McCarthy-batwoman-interview.html
I have to say, I wasn’t fond of his work when he first joined the book back in issue #9, but I think he’s improved quite a bit since then. His art is starting to grow on me.

Thanks for the link. Didn’t know he’d done an interview.
I’m enthused for this arc! The inter-character relationships have been my favorite aspect of the series thus far, so it’s right up my alley. I’m quite liking Trevor’s work too, seems like he’s a good match for the book.
And if I may ask, on an unrelated note, I read in an interview that you finally got word for editorial on Renee. Is she..safe?
Comment by Alex 03.27.13 @ 2:54 pmHere we go … another arc and this one sounds super! I love the emotional stuff as much as all the superhero stuff! I’m really looking forward to this … and we definitely have to bribe Trevor to work on paper, because his stuff is too cool !!!

Glad you like the feel of the first chapter of the new story arc. Renee: We’ll have to wait and see what happens with that.
Hello Pam
Excellent! I’m thrilled that you liked the first part of this new arc. It’s going to go in some interesting directions.
Oh, I absolutely love it. I’m truly enjoying all the angles. Family, chosen and otherwise, is incredibly important and watching Kate and Maggie moving forward together, forming a family – it’s great!
Comment by Pam 04.02.13 @ 12:07 pmIs the “Party Crasher” from Chase’s comic book series? I’ve been wanting to pick up the trade but don’t have the money for it right now.
Comment by CraigM 04.04.13 @ 5:25 pmHey there CraigM
A lot of people are thinking the reference of Part Crasher has to do with the mystery figure on the last page, but it doesn’t. It’s actually a reference to a certain other person, held captive by the DEO. A crasher of tea parties ;^)
Any word on issue 19?? Can’t wait.
Thanks
