Very strong book. The last page was particularly effective. Can’t wait to see the next arc.

Brilliant art and two of the best lines of dialogue I’ve read in a long time.

Best issue yet!

Hey there Mike
Thanks very much. I agree that the ending was pretty gripping.

Hey there Deane
I’m glad you dug it. So which lines did you like so much?

Comment by jhw3 09.23.09 @ 11:14 pm

Best Father/Daughter Repartee:

“I’m always on the Batman rule, sir.”

Best Parting Villain Line 2009:

“You have our father’s eyes.”

That last line nailed the symbolism of the cover for me. Wonderful work on pgs 18-19. You must have control over the placing of house ads.

Best,

Deane

hey there Deane
Ah, I see what you’re talking about. Those are great lines for the context of the events.

I haven’t seen the printed issue yet to know where the adds fall. I do my best to not think about that too much and focus on how the issue will flow in collected form, since that will be the main way people will read this in the future.

Another stunning issue, so much going on within your pages though I think the last panel is my favourite so simple yet so expressive

Douglas Wolk says what I wish I could articulate about your Batwoman over at Savage Critics:

Hey there Ralph
Thanks for sending me that link. Lots of positive reviews continue to roll in on the series. I like that he went and re-read all four issues. The way Greg is writing this really does what Doug mentions about things taking on new meaning and relevance as revelations unfold at the end. We approached each scene with full knowledge of where this was going and I think people will find this rewarding upon re-reads of the material, it will bring out a lot of the subtext that was purposely placed for just that. This sensibility continues throughout my entire run. So the issues coming up will impact on the issues that came before, like layers being peeled away.

For me, the story caught up with the art in this issue. You draw ‘Bette’ awfully cute, btw.

Hey there kudamono
I’m glad you dug it. Everything we’ve been showing has been building to this, and this is only the beginning of where things are headed.

Ugh. Don’t even ask what’s taken me so long to grab this issue… life!!

I just wanted to post though – awesome, just awesome! I love the art in this issue… every issue, I’m more and more impressed.

Dare I ask… when will you have some of the originals for sale?

Comment by Pam 09.30.09 @ 6:22 pm

Hey there pam
Thanks very much! The pages will go on sale the 10th of October at noon California time.

J3 –

Are panels from the current issues still scheduled to go on sale tomorrow ( Oct 10th ) ??

Can’t wait. Have just re-read the issue and truly am enjoying it.

Yes, I’m putting up a blog today about it. Work and time has gotten away from me, so it’s a late notice.
