America’s Best Comics Artist Edition
Thursday January 19th 2017, 6:37 pmHello All! Released this February 1st 2017 is the America’s Best Comics Artist Edition, published by IDW. Put together by Scott Dunbier. It features an array of original art reproductions of numerous America’s Best Comics stories, including the infamous Promethea #10 unedited. Which has my work in it. And there is a small surprise of something in there previously unpublished involving that same issue. The book is a beautiful production, as to be expected by the IDW Artist Edition publishing agenda. And it’s great to see all of the other artist’s work I’m sharing space with inside this book. Everyone looks so very good. Get a copy at any fine comics shop. Here is a photo of me and the book, and a couple jpegs of scanned spreads selected by Mister Dunbier — Note: these jpegs in no way reflect the quality of the printing of this book. Sorry for delayed reply, things have been chaos here for various reasons. About that Promethea book: I don’t know if this thing will ever happen now. I think the only ways it will is if readers campaign the publisher, demanding to have it made.
Just got my copy based on the fact that your art was going to be in it, and low and behold the entire book was so amazing, great to see the different processes of all of the artists.I have been struggling to create my own book,and it is so refreshing to see that there is more than one way to tackle it.Also those new water color paintings(if it is watercolor) you are doing are absolutely amazing.
