Ah, fame at last!. I see it’s gone straight to your head. 😉

This is why you’re awesome – because you get IT …

Quote from Interview : “What makes it special is that it’s a mainstream character who is also gay,” he explained. “That’s not the focus of the book. It’s part of her identity, which is the same as everyone else. Different aspects of ourselves don’t decide who we are — the deciding factor about who she is is that she’s a hero.””

She’s a hero.

That says it all. That’s also why I can’t wait for the new series to start up.

Man, if I didn’t have a girlfriend, I’d ask you to marry me. 😉

Congrats on the great coverage and the fact that they refer to you as “no mere geek”. LOL.

Nice to be reconginzed in the home town! How long before they organize a parade in your honor? There could be floats constructed to represent all your projects. A marching assembly of promethea incarnations. 7 floats for 7 Soldiers. Actually, that could be a nifty parade…

And we will be your minions.

Is this part true?

“The “zero issue” of the comic series, which Williams describes as a “bridge from what came before to what comes next,” will hit stores in November. The book takes a look at the Batwoman character from Batman’s point-of-view, Williams said.”

Hey there Karl
It’s swelled up so much it hurts.

Oh, Pam, you are too sweet to me. On the marriage thing, I think my wife, Wendy, and your girlfriend would have something to say about that.

Hello there Fey
Ooh a parade would be fun, I could sit at the front and wave to everybody, but people might throw tomatos.

Hey there minion cheekster.
More news will come soon, I hope.

Hey there LON
I’ve always had a lot of support from the local comics crowd here, which is very nice. But I was surprised the local paper wanted to do something, pretty cool. I have no idea how they found out about the Eisners. The regular newspaper around here usually doesn’t cover anything like that.

Comment by jwh3 08.03.10 @ 11:12 am

Hey JWH3,

Think the Deluxe Edition of Elegy with a Rachael Maddow forward might have made your Eisner wins pop up on the radar of many more people than you expected. Again, very deserved attention to a good guy and great artist. I must talk to my comics peeps about flying you into Austin for a driveby signing, or maybe Staple some time down the road…

Know you’ve been to Houston recently… does another Texas excursion interest you at all? Thanks!

Hey there Wayne
Never been to Austin, so that sounds cool.

True fame only comes when one makes their local paper.

It’s always good to get some home loving. Also, you were from Merced!? Things like this give me hope. I grew up in shitty Modesto

Hey there Leif and Trisha
Now I know your names, and it was a real pleasure meeting you guys.

Hello Austin
Ha, a fellow citizen of the central valley…

Comment by jwh3 08.06.10 @ 11:36 pm

…And now you’re sweeping the Central Valley with appearances in the Atwater Signal and Modesto Bee. They are picking up the original story from the Sun-Star.

Comment by Michael 08.16.10 @ 9:17 pm

Wow, thats pretty cool.
