Awesome interviews. I love your candor and your thoughts on Kate and the whole “gay superhero” hoopla.

I mean, I love that she’s gay, that she represents The Community, and I’m so proud she’s got her own title and is Out There … but it will truly be a break-through in acceptance when people stop asking about it. It’s a part of her, but not the only part. Like having blue eyes or being left handed or something.

Of course, that being said – it is a big deal. To me, though, as important as her being gay is her sense of honor and duty. Pieces of the whole, ya know?

I’m so looking forward to finally starting the series up. I hadn’t been aware that you and Amy were spliting up the arcs, I guess I just assumed the same sort of deal as with Issue 0. Should be interesting and I can’t imagine folks skipping issues … if issue 0 is any indication, Amy’s take on Kate is pretty cool. Different, but cool, none the less.

Thanks for posting the interview links! I think Kate’s in great hands.

Hey there Pam
Thanks for taking the time to read the interviews, I know I can go on a bit long sometimes. And yeah, I agree with what you’re saying.

As for the split on art falling onto arcs, we thought it was best. Otherwise Amy wouldn’t get to draw Batwoman and only be drawing Kate. This wouldn’t be fair, so she gets to do a whole story to herself before I come back and do the next one. So while she is finishing work on hers as the first arc by me roles out, I’ll be working on the third arc.
